I'll be posting all future sessions over at the new WordPress blog.
It's hard, all this change, but I'm sticking through it.

I do
My half birthday wasn't the only reason to celebrate on May 15th, it was also Kris & Mike's wedding day! And somehow I ended up as their photographer!
(Forgive the random sampling of images I'm posting, they were the first ones I grabbed to process and I haven't had a good chunk of time to work on more.)
Congratulations guys!

Without further ado, the bride...The bouquet...The pearl-wearing bulldog (well, she is french!)...The youngest guest...The ravioli (that one's for you, Mike)...And oh yes, the happy couple... :)
Congratulations guys!

I should practice with shutter speed more often...
Especially when I've got this pie-face cooperating with me:
Couldn't you just eat her up!?

Another first! (hers & mine ;)
This sparkly girl has her 1st Communion next month (if you couldn't tell!) She was so excited to have her hair done and get all dressed up that posing for me was icing on the cake- read: very cooperative. ;)She took the job (and direction) very seriously...
But her smile was never far away for long.
Up next... photos of the rest of the family!

Party of 5
Well, it was certainly nice to take pictures of kids old enough to take some direction for a change! Even if that direction was "go outside in 32* weather with no jackets on"! ;)The kids were quick to warm up (figuratively and literally) and I got a guitar demonstration right off the bat!The littlest was camera ready despite her I-can't-do-its... (she really can!).
Last peek... Sneakers the dog. Poor thing thought I had cheese in my hand.
Big sister was a pro at posing and gave lots of suggestions too. Always appreciated!
Nobody was quite sure of my foot shot but I think it came out cool, no?It was great to meet your family Erin. You can expect your gallery to be ready by next week!

Hey Moo, where have you been?
It's about time. I only ordered these 3 weeks ago but shipping from the UK proved to be less than speedy. However the wait was well worth it. I'm in love...It'll be hard to part with them but for the sake of business, it has to be done.

Congratulations to the proud parents! Your gallery will be ready in a few days!
And one more sneak peek for you because I know you enjoyed this one. :)

Maternity 101
I was incredibly lucky to get such a gorgeous and fit pregnant mama (a prenatal yoga instructor to boot!) for my first ever maternity shoot.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with a grown-up who didn't need bribes or tricks or cajoling but instead could take direction, have ideas and bear with my inexperienced self. :)
And can you believe my luck with this awesome couch? I want to take it everywhere I go...Not sure what this pose is called other than amazing. Especially since she'll be giving birth later this week! The rest can be viewed here. (More to come as I finish the rest of her images.)

6 weeks later...
I was so happy to get another chance to photograph this baby so I could practice with my new camera and play around with all the manual settings without any pressure to produce something spectacular. Here's a few favs before I force myself to turn in for the night...Delicious, yummy babe...

Family Photos in 45 minutes!
Although I thrive under pressure, this photo shoot took the cake! I had less than an hour to wrangle three kids and a dog for pictures fit for a Christmas card. And just between you and me, I had just started learning to shoot in anything but auto mode. Oy.
Give me two hours next year and some sweaters and I promise it'll be golden. ;)
Did I mention that it was freezing out? I made these poor children sit on an ice-cold rock for this shot. The kids were troopers though and even let me do some individual shots before running back inside to warm up!

1st Newborn Photo Shoot
Here we go! First up is my and everyone else's favorite. Who can pass up a bum in a hand? I can't.
Next body part, feet. Feet have a very short period of time to be considered cute. Soak it up while you can.
I suppose the face deserves some face time too.
And the smile... Thank god I caught the smile...Simply have to to see the rest of this sweet baby's photos? Don't fret, they can be found here. :)
